“Football and Love: A story of the Yale –
Princeton Game of ‘94” is a fictional blending of romance and the 1894
Yale – Princeton football contest, published in 1895. This is a scarce book and
we haven’t seen another example. We have however seen several copies of a
smaller promotional broadside advertising this book. One copy is in the Library
of Congress, the other, a very faded copy with condition issues has been on eBay.
The book exhibits great colors and graphics as well as illustrations
throughout. A neat little piece in a category of its own.
